Judge Chris Brown the ARTIST...Not the Man

First of all, let me say that EVERYONE makes mistakes and that they should be forgiven if they take responsibility for their actions. After a while, it just gets old to bring up someone's past, especially if they are trying to move on and better themselves. They should be accountable for what they do but it is NO one's business what goes on in their personal life, even though they are a celebrity.

Today was supposed to be all about Chris Brown's new album F.A.M.E. which is in stores now. It seemed like everything was back on track for the embattled star, but when he left his appearance this morning on Good Morning America, he was met with another controversy.

After Robin Roberts brought up recent developments from the 2009 incident with Rihanna, Brown tried to change the subject and promote his new album. However, Roberts kept finding new ways to bring it up again. Brown was clearly aggravated and after his performance of hit song "Yeah 3xs", he "allegedly" broke a window when became upset in his dressing room.

If you do want to judge Chris Brown, do it based on his music and not him personally. You never fully know how people feel or what they have been through/going through. He has done everything that he was supposed to, including community service and anger management. It is clear that he may still be struggling with his issues, but if you are going to be critical of him in any way, go by his album and talk about that.

I have always been a fan of Chris Brown as an artist, ever since his self-titled debut album in 2005. I do not know his personally so I will not discuss his personal problems that he may have. What he did was wrong but I believe that he took responsibility for it and is just trying to MOVE ON with his life, and we should too.

As a journalist, I understand that Robin Roberts brought up the incident because it is something that she thought people wanted to hear him talk about. However, I do feel like she kept going back to it after he tried to focus on promoting his new album, which is why he was on the show in the first place. I hope that Chris Brown gets everything together in his personal life and  my fellow fans will continue to support his music. I truly believe that he is talented and does it for them and everyone should go get F.A.M.E.!!!!!!!!!

How You Dancin'?? Wendy Williams Among New DWTS Cast

The newest cast members for ABC hit show "Dancing With the Stars" were announced Monday on ABC.
After the mind-blowing episode where Brandy, a favorite to make the final, was eliminated over Bristol Palin during last season's semifinals, I just knew that I would be able to swear off watching "Dancing With The Stars" EVER again. However, the producers have done it again by putting together a compelling cast of both known and unknown celebrities from music, sports, music and TV.

The new cast was announced this week and there has been a lot of comments about there being very little "stars" this year. While there is never usually a BIG prominent person in pop culture who takes time off of their busy schedule to do the show, I am always fascinated by the people who they bring together for the season, especially the ones who they pull from obscurity.

I already have my favorites in this season's cast, which include Hines Ward who will probably be good as a football player and is easy on the eyes. I also like Romeo, who apparently was asked to do the show way back in the second season, but was replaced by Master P because of a knee injury. I just hope that he is better than his father because he was a hot mess. Kendra Wilkinson is another person that I look forward to seeing dance because she is athletic and I think that she will move well on the dance floor. Retired boxer Sugar Ray Leonard should also be good because of his sports background and the fact that boxing requires agility. My FAVORITE cast member this season is Wendy Williams & I actually think that she will do good in the competition. She is not a dancer by any means but I still believe that she will have fun with it.

The complete cast for season 12 of the ABC hit show include (partner in parentheses):
  • Disney star Chelsea Kane (Mark Ballas)
  • WWE wrestler Chris Jericho (Cheryl Burke)
  • Pittsburg Steelers WR Hines Ward (Kym Johnson)
  • Reality star Kendra Wilkinson (Louis van Amstel)
  • Actress Kirstie Alley (Maksim Chmerkovskiy)
  • Radio host Mike Catherwood (Lacey Schwimmer)
  • Supermodel Petra Nemcova (Dmitry Chaplin)
  • Actor Ralph Macchio (Karina Smirnoff)
  • Rapper (Lil') Romeo (Chelsie Hightower)
  • Retired boxer Sugar Ray Leonard (Anna Trebunskaya)
  • Talk show host Wendy Williams (Tony Dovolani)
