Enough is ENOUGH: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

First of all, let me say that I'm well-versed in pop culture, including reality TV, and I'm willing to give ANY show a chance.

However, after just ONE episode, I will NO longer be watching the newest train wreck from VH1: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Can we say HOT MESS????? I mean really...Are they serious with this?

After Basketball Wives, Basketball Wives: LA, and Love & Hip Hip, I thought that VH1 had exhausted all of their means of making our cultural figures (athletes & rappers) look bad.

Well...I was terribly mistaken.

Not only does this show make the spouses of hip hop artists look needy and foolish, it also makes the rappers look like they don't respect women & will neglect their baby mamas & kids for the next piece of ass (but what else is NEW? SMH).

You get to see a messed up love triangle between producer Stevie J, his baby mama & "ride or die" type girlfriend (code for STUPID...but we will get into that later) Mimi & this broke-down Rihanna wannabe that he's "producing" (& he might be "producing" something else w/ her too) named Joseline.

Out the gate, Stevie tries to buy her a house outside of ATL for her & the baby but he doesn't have any plans of living there with them. He claims that he has to be in the studio all the time w/ his artist Joseline (who makes it CLEAR that she is either sleeping with Stevie J or CRAZY out of her mind).

Long story short...Joseline is attached to Stevie's hip & suggests that he is in LOVE with him...Girl BYYYYYYE :-(

The episode culminates with a meeting at the birthday party of K. Michelle (fellow cast member) where it is mistaken that Joesline is with Stevie J, much to Mimi's surprise. When the two of them show up TOGETHER, the whole thing goes left & Mimi ends up leaving. When Stevie J chases her, Joseline gets mad & throws a drink at him. However, they end up leaving together to got to "the studio".

If I were Mimi, I would tell Stevie J to say "Goodbye Mimi" & "Hello CHILD SUPPORT" SMH

There were more messed up storylines too: like Lil' Scrappy leaving his baby mama Erica for rapper Diamond & then running back to her. While I give them credit for trying to make it work for their daughter, I find it comical that Scrappy is complaining about getting affection from Erica...when he CHEATED & LEFT her. I don't get how she is supposed to just welcome him back with open arms...just because.

Also, there is the Olivia-type story with K. Michelle, who is trying to get her music back out there & dealing with her past abusive relationship.

And let me close this post by mentioning this HOT MESS of a mama that rapper Lil' Scrappy has in Mama D, an outrageous ex-pimp who puts Mama Jones & Frankie to SHAME. It's clear that she has some mental issues because she is asked by Erica (Scrappy's baby mama & sometimes girlfriend) if she took her medicine, to which she replies "Not in five days."
